Texas State Aquarium says new splash park will be 3 times the size of previous park
The Texas State Aquarium announced a new splash park three times the size of its current park will open in summer 2023The Texas State Aquarium announced plans to open a splash park three times bigger than the park it opened in 2011.
The aquarium designed its $3.8 million, 15,000-square-foot splash park “to mimic the aquatic and terrestrial habitats of the Caribbean and the animals that reside there,”“The new splash park is designed to appeal to a wide array of ages, from tall slides and spray features for tweens to an area with interactive water features designed for toddlers,” according to a news release from aquarium representatives.
Along with three large slides and a 350-gallon water dump feature, the park is expected to offer 30 tables with umbrellas, a Dippin Dots station, snacks, drinks and a mobile food ordering service from the aquarium’s main restaurant, the Pepsi Shoreline Grill.MORE
