According to Jodie Turner-Smith, Lucasfilm's upcoming series will be a completely different experience from other projects in the Star Wars franchise.
Jodie Turner-Smith is set to appear in the new live-action series The Acolyte, and she hypes it as unlike anything seen in the Star Wars universe. Created by Leslye Headland, The Acolyte is reported to be a mystery-thriller set in the High Republic era of the galaxy’s history. Amandla Stenberg and Lee Jung-jae are starring as the show’s leads, a Padawan learner and her Jedi Master, who set out to investigate several crimes that might be tied to the Sith.
Amandla [Stenberg] is such an incredible performer. I, unfortunately, didn't have any scenes with her, but I got to see a little bit of what they've been doing, and I think it's gonna be epic, and it's nothing that anyone has seen before inside of that universe... I didn't get to use a lightsaber… but I did… not get to use a lightsaber... Because I am not a Jedi!
