4-year old comments from Superman: Legacy's David Corenswet have resurfaced, and they tease how his Superman will be different from Henry Cavill's.
Superman: Legacy's David Corenswet has spoken about Henry Cavill's Superman in the past and what he wanted to see from the DCEU Superman's successor, which so happens to be himself. Cavill stayed out from the Superman role since 2017's Justice League, only returning for a cameo in 2022's Black Adam before James Gunn announced a new actor would play the role in his planned DC Universe reboot. Corenswet is Superman: Legacy's new Clark Kent actor.
“It came to my attention before the internet got a hold of me, but my pie-in-the-sky ambition is definitely to play Superman. I would love to see somebody do an upbeat, throwback [take on Superman]. I love the Henry Cavill dark and gritty take, but I would love to see the next one be very bright and optimistic.”
