Five-year Green Wave plan will combine urban design, law enforcement and education, Mayor de Blasio saidNew York City Mayor Bill de Blasio on Thursday announced a new effort to improve bicycle safety after an uptick in cyclist deaths for 2019, including three deaths in just over a week this summer.
Mr. de Blasio, a Democrat, said his five-year, $58.4 million Green Wave plan will combine urban design, law enforcement and education to stem rider fatalities.
