One of the greatest coaches in the history of college football Nick Saban has apologized for in his words “singling out” Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher.
“We were second in recruiting last year. A&M was first. A&M bought every player on their team. Made a deal for name, image, and likeness. We didn’t buy one player,” Saban said.“It’s despicable that a reputable head coach could come out and say this when he doesn’t get his way, or when things don’t go his way. The narcissist in him doesn’t allow those things to happen. It’s ridiculous when he’s not on top.
At the center of all of this is the name, image, and likeness rule in college sports which allows athletes to profit off of those three things.
