Saturday's Nor'easter has resulted in jackknifed tractor trailers, flipped over vehicles, downed poles and flooding.
is taking its toll on those who have no choice but to travel, confronting them with cancellations, delays and closed lanes due to crashes, downed poles and flooded highways across the state.
At 11:35 a.m., a tractor trailer overturned and spilled fuel on I-78 west at Exit 4 in Greenwich Township, taking out two right lanes of the highway, NJDOT alerts reported. An overturned vehicle on the New Jersey Turnpike was reported by the DOT in the truck lanes at Exit 8 for Route 18 in New Brunswick.
Highway conditions vary by region, with some roads cleared down to the blacktop and others showing slush or drifting snow. PATH trains are operating with system-wide delays due to worsening weather conditions, and officials say they expect them to continue throughout the afternoon. PATCO trains are running on a snow schedule, operating at reduced speeds that adds to travel time.
