MCKINNEY, Texas — Even after days of negotiations, Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives are no closer to unifying around a funding plan for the government than they have been during the months leading up to the Sept. 30 deadline.
“I can assure your viewers that absent some sort of minor miracle, which is not going to happen, we will have a shutdown on 1 October,” Self told us on Inside Texas Politics.Before that rejection, Pentagon funding bills typically enjoyed bipartisan support.
