Cleveland’s Ohio City neighborhood is home to a diverse collection of residents and businesses with strong historical roots and a keen eye on growth.
“We’ve got three major commercial corridors we focus on in terms of business promotions,” said Baumbach, referring to Lorain Avenue, West 25th and Detroit Avenue.
She cites multiple developments that have popped up like tulips in springtime. Apartment complexes are rising as fast as they can be built: Church + State, The Quarter, Intro Cleveland, The Dexter on Franklin Circle behind Lutheran Hospital, plus Bridgeworks and Hulett Hotel. “Choolah checked every single one of those boxes,” she said of the Indian barbecue eatery that opened in 2022 on West 25th.
