COLUMBUS, Ohio — Police say a 58-year-old man was stabbed when he got into an argument with his landlord, who was attempting to shut off the water to the victim’s residence. Officers were called to the residence at about 8:40 p.m. Sunday in the Central Hilltop neighborhood, which is west of downtown Columbus. The victim tells police the 30-year-old suspect went to the residence and was trying to cut off the water.
The victim went outside to talk to the landlord and the two men began arguing, police say. The landlord is accused of taking the tool that he was using to clear ice and snow from the water shutoff and stabbing the victim once in the side.
