Here are 10 things to know about the girls cross country season.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The high school cross country season has begun.

Many Northeast Ohio teams competed in the OHSAA preseason invitational this past Saturday, and the season officially begins on Monday. Division I state champion Katie Clute of Olmsted Falls has graduated, but plenty of talent returns on all three levels, as area runners begin the long trek that all hope will conclude in the state championships Nov. 4 at Fortress Obetz in Columbus.
