The One Piece change that is more weird than bad.

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT When it comes to a massive franchise like One Piece, adaptations can be a tricky task, however this change in Netflix's live action One Piece adaptation is far from the worst change an adaptation could make. One Piece began as a Japanese manga series in 1997 that then developed into various feature films and a wildly popular anime series. The story follows Monkey D.

As previously mentioned, adaptations are difficult to make, especially when one is developing animation into live action, however Netflix's One Piece seems to be succeeding. The series has managed to maintain its cheer and important thematic threads. However, there is one change from the anime that the new series has made, and it's a strange one. This change definitely isn't the worst thing to happen, but it is certainly a noticeable difference from the original series.

Sanji's British Accent In One Piece Takes Some Getting Used To The weirdest change Netflix's One Piece made from the original anime is Sanji's British accent. While the live-action adaptation of One Piece showcases a variety of accents, Sanji's sticks out because of how unexpected and different it is from the One Piece anime's dub. While many feel that Sanji would be best with a French accent due to his job as a chef, the series gives him a British one.

Taz Skylar's Sanji Performance Is Great Despite the accent, Sanji is still as lovable in Netflix's One Piece as he is in the original anime. Played by Taz Skylar, Sanji brings the perfect amount of humor to the crew. The actor perfectly embodies is womanizing side and his caring, ambitious side.
