This is one of my favorite things to make . I forgo the crunchy sage on the top, but add about double what the recipe calls for for sage and red pepper flakes in the sauce. Bursting with flavor, so cheesy, and feeds the two of us for lunch and dinner for two days. 10/10 from us!I've made this dish for many occasions and its a huge hit. Extremely flavorful and delicious when reheated.
It's now on the permanent rotation; my wife says"Make it again and don't change a thing!" Was a little apprehensive about that big bunch of broccoli rabe and a pound of pasta all fitting in my Lodge 12-inch cast iron skillet but there was room to spare. I added a small diced onion to the sausage mixture & used both cheeses.
