Online learning startup Coursera nabs $103 in Series E funding tied to valuation “well north” of $1 billion
is the newest member of Silicon Valley's unicorn club after securing $103 million in Series E funding Thursday.
Australian-based SEEK Group led the round that valued Coursera"well north" of $1 billion, according to a company spokesperson. Existing investors Future Fund and NEA also participated in the round.. According to the company, its community has 40 million registered users, up from 26 million in June 2017. Users can take free or paid classes in addition to skills certifications for more than 300 specializations. They can also earn 14 degrees from partner universities.
