In the editorial about Mealer's election challenge, you referred to,"the latest GOP legislative assault on voter rights." I would appreciate it if you would please enumerate those assaults. Frankly, I think you don't know about what you speak. The Texas Legislature has done nothing to harm access to voting. Have you read the laws? It's wrong for you to make allegations without providing support for your assertions.
Her position sounds very Trumpian. What next? Is she going to hold a rally and urge her followers to attempt a coup and storm the Commissioners Court? Does she have her own shirtless guy with a horned hat? Are her supporters going to desecrate Commissioners Court? Does she have armed “Proud Boys” waiting across Buffalo Bayou?
People are only as good as their word. People who file facially baseless lawsuits to overturn valid elections are serving their own egos and not our democracy.
