The former cases may just reflect poor judgment but the latter cases may involve dishonesty, a far more serious and concerning situation. Whatever the specifics, there are genuine reasons to worry about City Attorney Mara Elliott’s views on this issue, given herfor state legislation that would introduce new hurdles to the public records request process.
