Opinion: Loyal Republicans learning what happens if you turn on Donald Trump [Opinion]
We’ve all heard Trump and his allies denigrate anyone in the party who refuses to accept the Big Lie; who still believe the election was stolen. They call them RINO’s - Republicans In Name Only.
I think it’s time we give Trump supporters their own name. Let’s call them RITA’s - Republicans In Trump Alone. It always surprises me that all these folks who blindly follow Trump’s lies don’t realize that they have joined a cult.A letter writer says the Jan. 6 committee is diverting attention from real problems. A violent mob attacking the Capitol with intent to kill the vice president and prevent the peaceful transition of power is a real problem.
This insurrection, these Republicans and people with thinking like this letter writer represent a serious threat to our democracy.
