Tony Furino, who has served as manager of the Orange branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library the past 4½ years, is leaving to become manager of the library system’s Garfield Heights branch.
Orange Councilwoman Staci Adelman Vincent, who works in the Orange City Schools’ communications office, disclosed to the Orange Board of Education Monday that Thursday will be Furino’s last day at the Orange branch.
In fact, Furino met his wife, Stephanie, while both were working at the Garfield Heights library, so he has fond memories of his time there. Furino noted the Garfield Heights branch library, at about 30,000 square feet, is about double the size of the Orange branch library, which is about 15,000 square feet.
Vincent said Furino will also leave a large void with the Kiwanis Club of Lander Circle. He has served as secretary on the Kiwanis’ board of directors since last year.
