The Outdoor Retailer Convention has created contention between Utah state authorities and officials of outdoor brands who don’t agree with the state’s stance on land management over the last few years.
He said he is thrilled to be back where it all began.
“The first year when I came here was probably like ‘96, I think and we’ve been to every one since,” Barr said. “It was kind of a big change when we went to Denver and we kind of missed it and it feels great to be back in Salt Lake City.” “Not all of them have been mended to be perfectly honest, but we are an industry that will continue to sit down at the table and talk,” Outdoor Retailer Show Director Sean Smith said. “We understand and respect the decisions of any company of values and beliefs they hold strong.”
