June 16 marks the exciting beginning of Outlander season 7, part 1 on STARZ, meaning fans will finally learn the outcome of the scintillating season 6 cliffhanger. While each season is primarily based on one of Diana Gabaldon's best-selling novels, season 7 has the monumental task of adapting not only the bulk of An Echo in the Bone but also the parts of A Breath of Snow and Ashes that the shortened season 6 could not include.
David Berry: Lord John, we find him this season again embroiled with the drama of the Frasers. Of course, it's something he carries around with him all the time because he's the adoptive father of William. And now adult William is entering into the fray – into this crazy Fraser drama that I'm a bit nervous to shove you into, but I can't keep you away from either, because you're really gung-ho about getting involved in the war.
John Bell: Well, I was very fortunate to actually do a chemistry read with Izzy beforehand and I just knew immediately that was Rachel, and we just hit it off and immediately trusted each other and that's all I could ask for. We have a lot of fun together, we make each other laugh a lot. She's up for the sauciness, for the chemistry, for the crackle. And so am I! I think fans are going to really, really love to see Ian and Rachel. The character's beloved by the book readers.
David, everyone loves John Grey. He even has his own book series, and everyone's always talking about a TV spinoff. What would you like to see in your series, and when is it happening?
