At 8:17 p.m. on Sept. 15, an officer stopped a Jeep that had a dim rear license plate bulb and that matched the description of an erratic driver recently spotted in Brookpark who was suspected of driving over curbs and onto lawns.
The driver told the officer that he was unaware of the dim light bulb and was driving from a bar in Olmsted Township to Walmart in North Olmsted to buy some underwear. He said he had not been in Brookpark or near Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.
The driver then said that after leaving the Olmsted Township bar, he drove to an area near Cleveland Hopkins airport to watch planes take off and land before driving to Walmart. The man called his bank to report the fraudulent charges and then realized that he had left his wallet in his car, which he had forgotten to lock. The wallet, containing $60, a driver’s license, and several credit cards, was missing from the car. Several of the cards were used at gas stations and a restaurant in Cleveland. However, the victim contacted his banks and canceled all his cards.Officers at 10:49 a.m. on Monday, Sept.
