Democratic candidates for president have sworn off corporate PAC money, but the Democratic National Committee took in more than $155,000 in funds from corporate PACs in July, ahead of a major DNC meeting this weekend that 2020 candidates will attend.
Labor union groups, including the American Federation Of State, County & Municipal Employees; American Federation of Teachers; and the United Auto Workers, also collectively contributed more than $500,000 to the DNC last month.By signing up you agree to receive email newsletters or alerts from POLITICO. The RNC raised $20.8 million, more than twice as much as its Democratic counterpart, and spent $17.7 million. The committee ended the month with $46.6 million cash on hand.
