Padres trying to snap an eight-game losing skid at Coors Field
He’s starting a second straight game against the Rockies after striking out a season-high nine batters in 5 2/3 innings of one-run ball last week at Petco Park.
Martinez allowed seven runs in four innings in his only Coors Field start, back in 2015 with the Rangers.He’s allowed three or more earned runs in 10 of his 12 starts, but beat the Padres on Sunday in San Diego with two runs allowed in seven innings. Marquez is 9-3 with a 4.31 ERA, 102 strikeouts and a 1.26 WHIP in 87 2/3 innings in his career against the Padres.
