Rangers left-hander Cody Bradford starting series finale against the Padres

The 25-year-old Bradford has a 4.00 ERA in 274 career innings as the minors, striking out 302 against 68 walks. He was ranked the Rangers’ No. 23 prospect, by Baseball America, coming into the season, with his change-up grading out as his best weapon as “it kills spin effectively and can be a useful weapon in any count.”
So far in the majors, the change-up is sitting at roughly 82 mph and has been thrown 27 percent of the time off his 90.1 mph four-seamer . He also boasts an 86 mph slider and seldom-used curve thrown in the low 80s.Gary Sanchezserving as the DH and batting seventh. Outside those two swapping positions, the lineup is identical to Saturday’s.
