Rob McElhenney and Chris Pratt teamed up to reveal a new park named after Ryan Reynolds in a comedic Parks and Recreation parody video.
The video shows McElhenney pitching Chris Pratt the idea of creating a park in Wrexham as a birthday gift for. The comedic timing and camera work serve as an homage to the comedy series Parks and Recreation, which Chris Pratt starred in.
It then reveals that a real park, the Ryan Rodney Reynolds Memorial Park, will be created in Wrexham, Wales. The park itself will be an open and green space that will feature pop-up restaurants, movie screenings, lanterns with green lights (in reference to Reynolds’ role in 2011’sThe Wrex in Parks & Wrex is in reference to the location of the park and their connection to Wrexham through the series, completing the title’s comedic spin on Parks and Rec.
