Benatar and Girardo have been a famous musical married couple for 41 of the singer’s 44-year career as a recording artist. Their musical and personal partnership has garnered them two multi-platinum, five platinum and three gold albums, and 19 Top 40 hits.
Benatar also has the distinction of winning four consecutive best female rock vocal Grammys from 1981-1984 for “Crimes of Passion,” “Fire and Ice,” “Shadows of the Night” and “Love Is A Battlefield,” respectively. Add the more than 36 million records she has sold worldwide and the Benatar and Girardo’s 2022 induction into the Rock Hall of Fame as a couple, making the musical lovers model of love and music.
