Interstate-81 southbound will be reduced to one lane from the Routes 11/15 interchange to one mile north of the Wertzville Road exit Aug. 4-7, 2023, for paving. Pennsylvania Department of Transportation
said I-81 between the Routes 11/15 interchange and one mile north of the Wertzville Road exit will be reduced to one lane from 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4, to 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 7, weather permitting. PennDOT said the work is part of a 12.85-mile project that includes “milling, base replacement, concrete pavement patching, minor drainage, ADA ramps, paving, traffic counter site repair and other miscellaneous construction on Interstate 81 from Route 15/Enola in East Pennsboro Township, to Route 581/Lambs Gap Road in Hampden Township.”
The project is expected to be completed by Nov. 21. The contractor on the $24.5 million project is New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company.
