Pedestrian hit by car, seriously injured in downtown San Diego [Breaking]
A 36-year-old man was struck by a car and seriously injured in downtown San Diego on Saturday morning, police said.Police determined the man had been standing on the painted double-yellow roadway divider shortly before stepping in front of a Hyundai.
He was taken to a hospital with a fractured left clavicle and multiple facial fractures that were not thought to be life-threatening.The vehicle drove away after the crash, and was seen getting on south Interstate 5. The driver of the Hyundai was later located, questioned and released, police said.
