A 25-year-old man was seriously injured Friday night while he was crossing the street near Rio Vista Ave.
Florida Highway Patrol said that at around 10:46 p.m., a 37-year-old woman and one passenger were traveling southbound on U.S. 17 in a pickup truck.
A pedestrian was walking on the median at the same time and began to cross the road in front of the pickup truck. Upon collision, the pedestrian was thrown back into the southbound lanes and the truck came to a rest on the median.Action News Jax will continue to follow the story and will update you as events unfold.
