Vice President Mike Pence said Saturday he will get tested for the coronavirus after a member of his office tested positive.
The staff member's positive diagnosis was announced Friday.
"Neither President Trump nor Vice President Pence had close contact with the individual," Katie Miller, the vice president's press secretary, said in a statement Friday. "Further contact tracing is being conducted in accordance with CDC guidelines." Pence said Saturday that the staff member experienced "mild, cold-like symptoms" for around a day and a half and has not been at the White House since Monday.
