American tennis great Pete Sampras revealed that his wife Bridgette Wilson Sampras, 50, had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
The 14-time Grand Slam champion released the news through the ATP and asked for “good thoughts and prayers” from the tennis community as his wife battles the disease.Sampras and wife, actress Bridgette Wilson, attend the game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the New Jersey Nets on January 24, 2003.“As most have come to know, I am a pretty quiet and private person,” the statement read.
Wilson Sampras was crowned Miss Teen USA in 1990 and is a former actress who appeared in a number of movies and television shows.
