Philadelphia Corporation for Aging, or PCA, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and local seniors were invited to strut their stuff along Boathouse Row.
and it's presented by PA Health & Wellness.Najja Orr, President & CEO of PCA, calls it "a day of fun and health and wellness.""They love strutting with the Mummers," says Amanda Buonomo, Special Events Manager for PCA. "And it's a lot of fun."
"I came out today to see if I could do a walk," says Durham. "I've got my cane, because I've been having a lot of mobility problems and issues.""I was diabetic, and I wanted to get off all that diabetic medicine," says Bishop. "I've lost 130 pounds - a whole person.""We have 28 senior centers across the city, and they come out and have so much fun," says Orr.
