Jae Crowder will face Phoenix for the first time since being part of blockbuster Kevin Durant trade.
Sunday’s game as Durant has yet to make his Suns debut. Averaging 29.7 points a game, Durant hasn’t played since Jan. 8 at Miami.
“I’m thankful for my time in Phoenix,” Crowder continued. “I’m thankful for my teammates. I’m thankful for the organization embracing me the past two years and we had a great run. We did some great things in Phoenix, and we turned that culture around. I’m happy for those guys. I wish them luck moving forward, but I’m moving on to the next chapter of my career.”
Whether it was wanting an extension as he was the final year of a three-year deal or reportedly upset about coming off the bench behind Cam Johnson, a narrative he said was untrue, Crowder was bothered by the situation and later jabbed at the Suns coaching staff in an interview with Bleacher Report’s Chris Haynes last month.
