Pixar's upcoming new film, Elemental, fights back on Rotten Tomatoes as its score jumps 23%, giving the movie a fresh rating on the site.

Elemental is fighting back against its Rotten Tomatoes score, which has jumped 23% on the website. Pixar's latest film is a romantic comedy in a world where everyone is made of a different element, showcasing the love story between fire element Ember and water element Wade . The film debuted on Rotten Tomatoes with a score of 57% based on 7 critic reviews.

Now, Rotten Tomatoes lists Elemental as having a score of 80% on the website based on 44 critic reviews, a 23% jump for the film. Despite initial lukewarm reception, it seems Pixar's Elemental has managed to provide a positive experience for many critics. Check out a comparison of the two scores from Daniel Richtman below:

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT What Elemental's Rotten Tomatoes Change Means For The Movie First reviews for Elemental were mixed when the film premiered at Cannes International Film Festival in May. While some praised the film for its interesting visuals, others criticized the movie for not exploring its themes of different elements living together as much as it could have.

The new reviews for Elemental also underscore anticipation for the film, something that could help Pixar after Lightyear bombed at the box office last year. However, Elemental will be releasing on the same day as The Flash, while Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will be out two weeks into its theatrical run. Because of these blockbuster films, it's unclear how well Elemental will be able to compete with them.

However, even if Elemental doesn't make a lot of money at the box office, it could still find popularity and success on Disney+ after its theatrical run. It would not a first for an animated movie from Disney, such as when box office failure Strange World became No. 1 on Disney+ the week it debuted on the platform.
