PNC Bank closed two New Jersey branches of its bank located inside Stop & Shop grocery stores
The PNC banks at the Stop & Shop locations in Pohatcong Plaza on Route 22 and Flemington on Route 31 closed April 21,The Pohatcong Plaza branch merged with the PNC at 755 Memorial Parkway in Phillipsburg. Meanwhile, the Flemington location merged with the branch at 240 U.S. 202/31.
PNC closed these two supermarket locations as part of a master plan to close about 127 branches located inside grocery stores. The closings come as PNC is looking to consolidate their offerings as more people use their mobile phones for banking.
