Rochester, N.Y. — A man faces charges after police said he was driving drunk and possessing an illegal gun on the city's north side.

Rochester, N.Y. — A man faces charges after police said he was driving drunk and possessing an illegal gun on the city's north side. Police said they attempted to stop a car that was traveling at a high rate of speed at Hudson and Clifford avenues Monday. Police said the vehicle didn't stop until it reached Rochester General Hospital.
The driver was found to be drunk and possessing an illegal 9mm Glock handgun with four high-capacity magazines loaded with 88 rounds, according to police. James Johnson, 22, of Hazlehurst, Georgia, is charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, four counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and driving while intoxicated.
