A police officer has admitted buying pornography at the home of a grieving family following the death of their child as he waited for the undertaker to arrive.
PC Avi Maharaj, 44, a police officer serving with London's Metropolitan Police Service, was on duty at a property in south London when he used the homeowner's cable TV account to purchase access to pornographic channels, spending £25.96 , the Independent Office for Police Conduct said in a statement.The officer was investigated after the homeowner filed a complaint, and the matter was referred to the IOPC. He pleaded guilty to fraud at Westminster Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
