The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has responded to the Jacksonville Heights neighborhood in reference to a shooting.
At around 1:30 p.m. on Friday, JSO says that it arrived to the area at 9400 103rd St. after reports of someone shot. Police found an adult man suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Jacksonville Fire and Rescue transported that man to a local hospital where he died several hours later from his injuries. Officers and detectives are canvassing the area and witnesses are being interviewed. They are also looking for potential surveillance video.If you have any information contact JSO at 904-630-0500.
