Texas police responding to a shooting incident and potential bomb situation at an aerospace company announced the situation was resolved after the suspect died on Thursday.
Officers were alerted to a shooting at a Lockheed Martin location Thursday morning, with the suspect later dying from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Bomb technicians also arrived on the scene to evaluate a"suspicious device" in the suspect's vehicle but determined there were no explosive devices, according to the White Settlement Police Department.

Police locked down the company's main gate when they responded to the report of a shooting and expanded the perimeter of the lockdown after finding a suspicious device in the suspect's vehicle. The reopening of Lockheed's main gate is expected to be complete before 1 p.m local time. No injuries from the incident have been reported, and the suspect is the only death in the incident reported by the police.The police did not respond to the Washington Examiner's request for comment.
