The most recent figures, which are preliminary, show that Sullivan County in 2022 continued to have the highest opioid overdose death rate of any New York county. According to the Office of National Drug Control Policy, the program oversees 33 regional high-intensity areas in all 50 states, a Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Washington, D.C.
