The piece of art by GONZO247 has become emblematic of the Bayou City
near Market Square Park that has become emblematic of the city and a popular Instagram spot, will be celebrating its 10th anniversary Tuesday at 11 a.m.
The Houston First Corporation is hosting the event that will include Gonzo247 and volunteers refreshing the 3300-square-feet mural which was created in 2013. “The Houston is Inspired mural was a visual game changer for the downtown landscape and signified the turning of a page in the acceptance of graffiti and street art culture on a major scale," said GONZO247 in a release."It also helped usher in a new era of blockbuster murals that give the city a little more character.
