, the automaker has just unveiled the follow-up to that car, the Porsche Vision 357 Speedster.and celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Goodwood Festival of Speed. After its UK debut, it will be displayed in the U.S. at September’s Rennsport Reunion and while it’s not destined for production, it’s bound to get Porsche enthusiasts excited.shares many traits with the hardtop concept from January but the presence of a low-slung windshield makes it appear even sleeker.
has also equipped the concept with a set of 20-inch magnesium wheels complete with carbon fiber hubcaps and center locks. These wheels have taken design inspiration from the wheels used by the original 356 A and 356 B.The interior is very driver-focused and has been designed as a single-seater with a carbon fiber reinforced bucket seat integrated into the monocoque.
“The Porsche Vision 357 is a nod to the first Porsche model line, Ferry Porsche’s dream sports car,” Porsche vice president of style, Michael Mauer said. “And since the 356 has cemented itself into the collective brand memory as both a convertible and a coupé, the same logic applies to the concept car: there can only be two. The Porsche Vision 357 Speedster embodies the essence of the brand. Driving pleasure and driving dynamics combined with an extremely pure form.
