It looks like Porsche is targeting a new lap record at the Nurburgring with the new flagship of its soon-to-be-facelifted Taycan
Turbo GT has finally shed all of its camouflage, giving us an early look at its more aggressive styling. Not one but three prototypes of the flagship electric sedan were spotted at the Nurburgring, likely during another lap record attempt before their forthcoming debut.
The Taycan Turbo GT will crown the lineup of Porsche’s facelifted EV as the most powerful and track-focused version. The model made itsin October 2022, but this is the first time we see it without camouflage. The front bumper gets a new design with sharper side intakes and prominent fins attached to the larger splitter. We can also see the revised LED headlights highlighted by sharper surfacing on the front fenders.
Likewise, the tail of the Turbo GT gets additional outlets on the rear bumper, an extension to the diffuser with more aerodynamic fins, and a fixed rear wing mounted on a new ducktail spoiler. The wing appears to be made of carbon fiber, as with the mirror caps. The prototypes came fitted with different alloy wheels featuring five-spoke designs and hiding larger drilled brake discs behind them.
Besides the more aggressive stance – and most likely a revised chassis setup – the Turbo GT is rumored to feature a tri-motor electric powertrain, resulting in a power output of around 1,000 hp .
