The White House says the president hopes to encourage all Americans to follow his example and get vaccinated.
The White House physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, said in a memo released on Saturday that the vaccines were administered on Friday.
The memo also said that the 80-year-old president had been vaccinated against the respiratory syncytial virus “several weeks ago." Though hospitalizations and deaths remain significantly lower than the peak of the pandemic, the CDC has noted an upward trend. The president tested positive for COVID-19 in July 2022.
