Nine-year-old George is now second in line to the throne
joined their parents Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales for the state funeral of their great-grandmother Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.
The young royals walked behind their parents and were followed by their uncle and aunt, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and other royal family members.The young children had not been seen in public since the Queen passed away on 8 September, at the age of 96. The funeral service began at 11 am the same 13th century church where the Queen was married and had her coronation.
“The Lord’s My Shepherd” is a particularly poignant choice because it was sung at the Queen’s wedding to her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, at the same location in 1947.
