Kate Middleton and Prince William went on a secret engagement to an orphanage during their royal tour of Pakistan, and spent time with a group of children
The royal couple spent time with a group of children on the last day of their royal tour October 19, 2019 - 12:02 BST Hanna Fillingham The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were forced to stop overnight in Lahore on Thursday evening after their plane was unable to land in Islamabad due to a storm. And on Friday morning, the royal couple made a secret visit back to the SOS Children's Village where they had spent two hours at the orphanage earlier in the week.
Prince William and Kate had endured a stressful evening the night before their visit to the orphanage after their plane was forced to make an emergency landing. Their royal airforce plane had been in the air for two hours for what was supposed to be a 25-minute journey.
William and Kate had travelled to Pakistan at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. They arrived on Monday evening before returning to the UK on Friday just after 8pm. The royals will no doubt have been looking forward to seeing their three children, Prince George, six, Princess Charlotte, four, and Prince Louis, one, first thing in the morning, as it was likely that they were in bed by the time their parents got home.
