Public does not want 2024 JoeBiden-realDonaldTrump rematch: Poll
A poll conducted by CNN found that 62% of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents want to see a candidate other than Trump, and 59% of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents want a different candidate than Biden.
Trump's favorability rating did not change significantly, with 60% having an unfavorable view of the former president. A broad majority of respondents believe Trump's views and policies are too extreme, including 45% of Republican and Republican-leaning independents. Younger voters would prefer the Democrats choose a candidate other than Biden, with 74% of those 35 and younger hoping to see a different name on the ticket in 2024. Those writing in specific alternative candidates have chosen Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg , California Gov. Gavin Newsom , Sen. Bernie Sanders , Vice President Kamala Harris , and Sen. Elizabeth Warren . Newsom is the only one named that has not put in a bid for president for a prior election.
