With talk swirling about a voucher program possibly being part of a budget deal being worked out with Gov. Josh Shapiro, public school advocates rallied at the state Capitol to voice their staunch opposition to the idea that they see as siphoning money away from public education.
Labor leaders, parents, a few students, and public education advocates gathered in the Capitol Rotunda on Tuesday to call on state lawmakers and Gov. Josh Shapiro to end any further consideration of establishing a school voucher program in Pennsylvania.
