Qatari billioniare Sheikh Jassim submits second bid as competition heats up to buy Manchester United: British media
A source close to Sheikh Jassim's bid had earlier told AFP he remains confident his bid is"the best for the club, fans and local community".
British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe made a revised bid on Thursday as Finnish entrepreneur Thomas Zilliacus entered the race to own the Old Trafford club. Sky Sports News earlier reported that Sheikh Jassim's bid was believed to be worth around £5 billion but later reports on its website did not mention the figure.
"My bid is built on equality with the fans," Zilliacus, founder and chairman of investment company Mobile FutureWorks, said in a statement.
