Yarl was looking forward to graduating from high school and traveling to West Africa before starting college, his aunt said.Crump, Yarl’s attorney, said it’s “inescapable not to acknowledge the racial dynamics at play.” Spoonmore said her nephew is a member of his school’s Technology Student Association and Science Olympia Team.
