Electric pickups have proven popular among American buyers. By April 2022, Ford had taken 200,000 reservations for its all-electric pickup,Not starting production until 2024, the 1500 REV is expected to have even more impressive specs than its Detroit rival. Ram promises that the truck will be able to go more than 500 miles on a charge, and will have competition leading towing capabilities.
Official specs for the upcoming truck remain limited, but in new photos released by the automaker, the production truck will look very familiar to Ram buyers. Unlike the futuristic Revolution concept, the Ram 1500 REV will look pretty much like any other Ram truck, albeit with fancier headlights. That means that the company’s strategy is closer to that taken by Ford than the direction taken by GM, whose upcoming electric pickup’s design is more clearly distinct from its ICE counterpart.
